The reserves of lifestyle related diseases are increasing now in Japan

Both the Japan Hospital Association and Japanese Society of Human Dry Dock announced the current conditions of "thorough clinical checks". According to this report, 90 percent of people, out of 2.7 million, who had a consultation were found to posses certain abnormalities. The six main culprits that are akin to lifestyle related diseases are: (1) obesity, (2) abnormal glucose tolerance, (3) high blood pressure, (4) high cholesterol, (5) neutral fat, and (6) abnormality of liver function. The worst disease for men is abnormality of liver function (32.8%), and for women is high blood pressure (25.4%).

Westernization of food, aging and environmental deterioration are thought to be the main reasons why health conditions have been getting worse.
