In Japan, the rainy season starts in June and lasts through the middle of July every year. Although the rainfall during the rainy season is not too heavy, it drizzles all day for long periods of time, at least for one month. Therefore, umbrellas are an essential tool throughout this time of year.
Various ideas for umbrellas will be sold this year. For example, umbrellas that are oblong so that a couple can walk side by side, ones with backs that are longer so that a child’s satchel will not get wet, umbrellas attached to bicycles, ones that can be opened and closed in one-touch, airy umbrellas that do not flap easily when there is a strong wind, umbrellas with a case with which water drops do not fall when it is being folded, the umbrella with a cane, the umbrella that twists around the shoulder in order to free both hands, and the umbrella with further attachments that can cover your pet when taking them for a walk. These umbrellas are becoming more functional, making life more comfortable during the rainy season.
