Healthy food (Tofu, Japanese food)

Sun Chlorella Corporation’s head office is located in Kyoto and receives many guests from overseas every year. We always invite them to visit and dine with us in Japanese style restaurants to get a feel for the culture and food.

Tofu is usually served and is a food that is eaten daily as it is a staple in the Japanese diet. Many foreigners view tofu as a typical healthy food in Japan. Tofu is derived from soybeans which are soaked in water then ground until they turn into paste. This mixture is then boiled and divided into soymilk and bean-curd. The surface layer is called "Yuba". In winter, we eat boiled tofu which is named "Yudoufu".
