Keyword for 2010, associated with environment draws increasing attention
| ELECTRONIC LIBRARY INCORPORATED (EL) released the 10 coming up keyword that probably makes the headlines in 2010. EL is a company to offer database service of news articles. These keywords were picked out of approximately 2.2 million words in the company’s database ELNET through its own comparison and analysis of their rise and fall trend of appearing in newspapers and magazines. Almost half of the selected words are the ones related with economy and industrial field such as LED (light-emitting diode) and EV (electric vehicle). It is predicted that the words relevant to the product or technology to realize energy conservation due to the current of an increasing environmental consciousness. In addition to the above, Smart Grid and Cloud Computing are chosen from the same field. Both are drawing much more attention than ever because lots of enterprises are intensifying developing these next-generation technologies with expectation to work out efficient use of electricity and IT system. Based on the prediction that it will become widespread in Japan next year, EB (electronic book) is picked up as well. Among other keywords than in economic field, are the Upper House election and Child allowance in political sphere and are The Shanghai EXPO, Tokyo Sky Tree (the new TV tower substituted for the existing Tokyo Tower) and The World Cup in social & other area. |
