"Salty Sweets"... What's that?
| Sweets that incorporate the use of salt are becoming the newest fad in Japan. The introduction of the "salt butter caramel" in Japan, made by a chocolate caramel specialty store in the Bretagne district in France, triggered this boom of salty sweet treats. Since its popularity in Japan, many confectionery stores have begun to make sweets containing salt, such as salty cookies, cream puffs, chocolates, etc...
